This Oolong has the flavour of dark chocolate and it is fruity too : like raisins and cooked pears. It is not bitter. It is a very lovely and comforting drink.
Right on the fine line between black tea and red oolong, the rare upfront flavor profile of 85% dark chocolate in this one will make many tea lovers quite happy.
As will the sweet red cherry aftertaste!
Wuyi cultivar leaves from the Mingjian region have produced some gorgeous chocolate tasting teas over the years that we have had on the site.
They often are in limited quantities and sell out fast, so we were very happy to get this tea in!

Season: Winter 2022

Method: Hand picked, processed on site, very small batch

Gong Fu Style: 3-5g per 100ml, ~100C water, 30, 45, 60 then add 5-10 seconds steeps in gaiwan.
Lasts 4-5 steeps.

Western Style: 6g (2 tea spoons) per 200-250ml, ~95c water for 3 minutes. Lasts 2-3 steep
